On hot summer days, nothing beats a delicious refreshment. That’s why today’s post is about an easy homemade iced tea recipe that is not only healthier than the versions you can purchase at the supermarket but also super tasty. And the best about it: you only need six ingredients and a little time to prepare it. This is what you need for one liter:
- some strawberries
- an organic lemon
- three bags of fruit tea
- agave syrup, sugar, or other sweeteners
- 1 liter of water
- some ice cubes
First, fill a large bottle with half a liter of water while bringing the other half liter of water to boil. Add your chosen kind of sweetener to the hot water and dissolve it. Afterward, add the water-sugar mix to the large bottle, add the three tea bags and let them in there for about 6-7 minutes. Then, remove the tea bags and put the finished tea in the fridge for about an hour. In the meantime, cut the lemon into slices and the washed strawberries into small pieces. After an hour, take the tea out of the fridge and add the sliced fruits. Serve the iced tea cold on ice cubes for the perfect summer refreshment.
Tip: This recipe can be prepared easily with other tea flavors and fruits and if you want an even fruitier result, leave the iced tea with the fruits overnight in the fridge.
