It feels like yesterday when I arrived with two big suitcases at the train station in Odense and could not wait to start my Danish adventure. So, I can’t believe how fast time passed and that it’s my last month in beautiful Denmark.
Yet, over the past nine months, a lot has happened. I successfully passed two semesters at the university, got used to biking everywhere, and, most importantly, found many new friends and a second home in Odense. Living abroad, I also grew a lot and got to know myself a little better again. For example, although I love my family more than everything, I’m also okay with not seeing them for some time. And also: while moving abroad might seem scary at first, it can sometimes be the best decision ever.
And while I cannot wait to see my family and friends back home in Austria again, I’m not ready to leave yet, because there’s still so much I want to do here in the country of hygge. For example, I want to …
- Go to Fyns Hoved
- Spend a day at the beach
- Go to Tinderbox
- Visit the Odense Zoo
- Travel to Skagen and Aalborg
- Make a day trip to Ærø
- Go for brunch at Nordatlanten
- Have as many sundowners as possible
- Celebrate my birthday in the Danish way
- Throw a farewell party
- Go out partying in Odense
- Have another dinner with friends
… but most importantly, I want to enjoy this last month here to the fullest!
