My time in Denmark was coming to an end. However, I was still excited about going to Tinderbox – and a festival in general – for the first time. Although the tickets were not that cheap, I thought it was the best way to end these amazing ten months here. The line-up during the three days was pretty cool, but I also loved the whole festival area, where they offered many other activities, despite food and drinks, as well.
Thursday, June 28, was the first day of the festival. So, after pre-drinking at the dorm, I biked with Flora to the festival area, which was only 30 minutes away from my place. As soon as we got there, we met Christina and Dominik to see Bastille, Kungs, and Depeche Mode together. Later in the evening, we then saw Steve Aoki before getting on our bikes back home again – ready for another festival day.
The next day, we first went to Christina’s graduation ceremony at the university, then grabbed some food and had some pre-drinks at the dorm again before going to Tinderbox again. Friday was definitely the best day regarding the line-up as acts like Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and Kygo were playing that day. And in the evening, we ended the second festival day dancing to Too Many Left Hands at Magicbox.
Saturday was already the last day of Tinderbox. But since we weren’t that interested in the artists playing in the afternoon, we went there quite late. And while the lineup the previous days was definitely better, we still had a great last day at the festival, and I enjoyed my first festival experience to the fullest. And if my graduation next year allows it, I will come back again.
