My time in Denmark was coming to an end. However, I was still excited about going to Tinderbox – and a festival in general – for the first time. Although the tickets were quite expensive, I thought it was the best way to end these amazing ten months here. The lineup during the three days was pretty cool, but I also loved the whole festival area, where they offered many other activities, despite food and drinks, as well.
Thursday was the first day of the festival. So, after pre-drinking at the dorm, I biked with Flora to the festival area, which was only 30 minutes away from my place. As soon as we got there, we met Christina and Dominik and watched the performances of Bastille, Kungs, and Depeche Mode together before seeing Steve Aoki on the evening stage later. The next day, we first went to Christina’s graduation ceremony at the university, then grabbed some food and had some pre-drinks at the dorm before biking to the festival area again. Friday was the day with the best lineup and acts, such as Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and Kygo. And in the evening, we ended the second festival day dancing to Too Many Left Hands at Magicbox.
Although Saturday was already the last day of Tinderbox, we went there quite late. And while the lineup the past two days was better, we still had a great last day at the festival. And if my graduation next year allows it, I will definitely go there again.
