Hotel Review: PURADIES

For this year’s holiday with my sister, we decided to stay in Austria and spend a few days in the Austrian Alps. And while it nowadays is not as easy anymore to find a date, which works out for both of us, while I was back in Austria, we managed to spend some days at my favorite places in the Austrian Alps – Saalbach and Leogang.

As we stayed at Saalbacher Hof for the first night, we took the gondola to the mountain top and enjoyed the great view up there. And before heading to PURADIES, where we stayed for the next two nights, we went for lunch as well. When we got there, we were already welcomed with a glass of sparkling rosé wine and could move right into our room. And we were even upgraded for free to a suite for our stay, which was certainly larger than the standard double room. Despite the upgrade, the hotel staff was always super friendly, accommodating, and ready to assist with any requests.

As it was very hot these days, we decided to relax at the pond in the hotel’s garden and checked out the snack buffet with salty and cold dishes, fruits, and many different sorts of cake in the afternoon. For dinner, we to the restaurant Völlerei in Saalfelden and spent the evening there together with some friends. The following morning, Dani joined us for breakfast at our hotel, while later that day, we took the nearest gondola to the top of the mountains again. As soon as we got back to the hotel, we enjoyed the rest of the sunny day sunbathing next to the pond. And before heading back to our room, we also stopped by at the hotel’s little farm, where they kept pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, and a lot more. On our last evening, we decided to have dinner at the hotel and ended the evening with a cocktail at the hotel bar. After another delicious breakfast the following morning, it was already time to leave again. And although it was short, we enjoyed our stay at PURADIES to the fullest and had some great summer days in the Austrian Alps.
