For this year’s sisters’ vacation, we went to the Austrian Alps and spent a few days in Saalbach and Leogang. In Saalbach, we stayed for a night at Saalbacher Hof, which is the hotel where my sister used to work for four years. While tanning on the hotel’s rooftop by the pool on our arrival day, the following morning, we took the gondola to the mountain top, enjoyed the splendid views up there, and had lunch on our way to the second accommodation in Leogang.
There, we stayed for two more nights at PURADIES – and as the name already suggests, it is a true paradise. When we arrived there, we were welcomed with a glass of sparkling rosé and checked into our room afterwards. And they even upgraded us for free to a suite, which was certainly bigger than the standard double room we had booked originally. Despite the upgrade, the hotel staff was always friendly, accommodating, and ready to assist with any requests.
As it was hot these days, we only relaxed at the natural pool in the hotel’s garden and checked out the snack buffet with salty and cold dishes, fruits, and many different sorts of cake in the afternoon. Although the hotel also offers dinner in the evening, we met with friends and went out for dinner to Völlerei in Saalfelden. The following morning, another friend joined us for breakfast at the hotel, and later that day, we took the nearest gondola to the top of the mountains again. As soon as we got back to the hotel, we enjoyed the rest of the sunny day sunbathing in the hotel’s garden and also checked out the hotel’s little farm, where they kept pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, and a lot more. On our last evening, we decided to have dinner at the hotel and ended the evening with a cocktail at the hotel bar. After another delicious breakfast the following morning, it was time to leave again. And although it was short, we enjoyed our stay at PURADIES to the fullest and had some great summer days in the Austrian Alps.
